Said all measures will be taken for peace and security in the city
The newly appointed Police Commissioner of Vadodara, Dr. Shamsher Singh has formally taken charge today on Sunday. He received formal guard of honour and salute on his arrival at the police Bhavan. He was also welcomed by senior police officials for taking charge as new commisioner of Vadodara.
Yesterday outgoing commissioner R.B. Brahmbhatt was given a guard of honor from the Pratapnagar police headquarters.
Dr. Shamsher Singh is a strict image police officer and is known as the government’s trouble shooter. He has so far served in SCRB, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Surat Range IG and known for his discipline.
After taking charge Dr. Shamsher Singh said all measures will be taken for the peace and security of Vadodara city. Steps will be taken as per the CM call of clean and transparent management. The police will abide by the new laws including land grabbing, online gambling, Gunda Act and strict action will be taken if required.
In addition, necessary steps will be taken for the health management and welfare of the police personnel who are continuously on duty during the Corona period. Arrangements will be made for women and senior citizens in Vadodara regarding their security and the sensitive attitude of the police towards them.
