Doctors, who have been working as frontline warriors for a year and a half since the Corona epidemic, observed Black Day on Saturday. They are in a fighting mood as the government has not been able to resolve the issues for the last 8 years. Doctors have given the ultimatum to government until April 11 to address their demands.

Doctors of the GMERS medical college at Gotri in Vadodara staged protest wearing black clothes after the government failed to resolve their issues like regularization of ad hoc teachers, payment of NPA as per the Seventh Pay Commission and payment of salaries as per the central government. Covid guideline was strictly followed by the doctors while staging their protest. The government was also criticized by patients and family members who came to Gotri Hospital after seeing doctors on duty in the Corona epidemic raising their voice against the government for their unresolved issues. They expressed the feeling that the government should address the question of doctors.

280 doctors from Vadodara dressed in black joined the Black Day program organized by the GMERS Faculty Association, Gujarat and demanded that the government resolve their outstanding issues. They said, "We have been demanding a solution to the issue since 2012, but no solution is found by the government. For the last one and a half years, doctors have been working tirelessly in covid duties and government just praise them as frontline warrior but no interest is shown in resolving the questions of the doctors. As a result, they are forced to observe Black Day on Saturday. There are 1750 doctors in Gujarat.

They further said that if their demands are not met by the government by April 11, they will be forced to agitate. All the doctors joined today's program.
