District Collector request to expedite the work of tap water in every house

96.91 percent work has been completed in the district

District Collector Shalini Agarwal held a video conference meeting with the provincial officers and taluka development officers on and reviewed in detail the work of taluka wise tap connection under Nal Se Jal Abhiyaan and the ongoing work progress of water supply schemes in the district. It is to be mentioned that 96.91 per cent work has been completed.

She urged Vadodara to complete the planned work as per the schedule with a view to make it a district with tap connection and tap water supply facility to all the houses in all the talukas as soon as possible. She reviewed the taluka-wise operations and gave detailed guidance on how to speed up the operations. She asked to complete the remaining work with a resolution to supply drinking water through taps to the villages and houses situated at far away places.

Out of 326705 houses in 658 villages of Vadodara district, 316666 houses are being supplied with tap water. 10039 houses are yet to be connected which has been well planned.

She reviewed the percentage of work completed in the water supply schemes under implementation in the district and directed to complete the works.
