Even though the security guards are on duty day and night to look after the Kamatibagh in the city of Vadodara, anti-social elements have become a headache for the historical garden. There are incidents of security guards often harassed with such elements.

Now there is a demand to start entrance fee for admission in Kamatibagh after some social elements clashed with security guards and fled after burning a banner instructing the Covid 19 guideline.

Security guard Mohammad Rafiq Bhandari was on duty at Gate No. 3 yesterday evening and three persons rushed to the spot as he was closing the gate as per the rules of Covid 19 guideline. They tried to enter the Kamatibagh and threaten the security guard after saw him coming out. They also set on fire the banner showing the time and information about the corona at the gate and fled on the bike.

Based on the complaint, Sayajiganj police have registered a case against three unidentified persons for damaging public property as well as for threatening security guards and intimidation.
