Extending a helping hand to migrant workers affected by Covid 19 pandemic, Deepak Group of Companies (Deepak Nitrite Limited, Deepak Phenolics Limited and Deepak Foundation) has stepped in to strengthen humanitarian initiative in the city along with local administration. The group has committed to distribute 5,000 food packets to migrant labourers boarding the Sramik trains. These are special trains carrying migrant labourers to their hometown.

On Tuesday, Deepak Group’s officials along with local administration handed over food packets and refreshments to migrant travellers going to Jharkhand. The entire drive was done as per the guidance given by collector and food committee meeting held under the leadership of deputy collector. Total 1611 food packets (containing Rajma Paratha) and water bottles each were distributed to the other state passengers sent via train to Jharkhand state on May 19.

This is a small gesture from the Group, helping migrants heading home in wake of the Covid 19 pandemic. Head of Administration and Corporate Affairs Puransingh Bisht and General Manager HR & IR Rajesh Palkar from Deepak Nitrite Limited handed food packets to migrants.

“Deepak Group of companies has been doing its bit to help the local authorities in dealing with Covid 19 crisis. We will continue to help and contribute towards betterment of society and people,” said Head of Admin and Corporate Affairs, Puransingh Bisht.

Rajesh Palkar added, “In this hour of need, all of us should do our best in helping the society. Our foundation’s team have been working tirelessly to help patients, people and local authorities. We continue to work together to help our city and its residents in dealing with this crisis resiliently.”
