Deepak Foundation’s Nandesari unit Self Help Group stitched 3000 masks for local industry workers

With overcrowded hospitals facing an acute shortage of masks, the sewing army is pulling out their sewing machines to fill the void. Deepak Foundation’s Nandesari unit comprise of Self Help Group members are setting an exemplary benchmark during this Covid 19 crisis.

The Nandesari Self Help group managed by Deepak Foundation has been stitching 250 plus cotton masks for local industries and migrant families. The team comprise of 3 members has so far stitched 3000 masks for local industry workers. The team works keeping in mind the social distancing protocols.

Adding to this, counsellors and medico team of Deepak Medical Foundation, a unit of Deepak Foundation, runs awareness about Covid19 during OPD. Keeping in mind, the dire need for awareness against Covid 19, Deepak Occupational Health Centre has been conducting awareness session for workers and guards on night shift. Masks and sanitizer were also distributed during the sessions.
