Decision to increase number of ICU beds and ventilator beds in segment 2 private hospitals

It has been decided to increase the number of ICU beds and ventilators in the leading private hospitals of the segment ll involved in covid treatment in Vadodara. 

Officer on special duty Dr. Vinod Rao held meeting with prominent Private Hospitals of Vadodara at Samras Hostel COVID Hospital and took review of situation. He informed that all private hospitals present in the meeting agreed that all Segment II Hospitals should urgently upgrade 50% of their total Beds into ICU Beds.

It has also been decided that all Segment II Hospitals should urgently invest on Ventilators and ensure at least 25% of their upgraded capacity of ICU Beds into Ventilator Beds. 

He said, through this notification, they expect about 2000 more Beds converted into ICU Beds thereby taking the total ICU Beds to 4000. They also expect another 500 Ventilators to be added taking the total to about 1500 Ventilators.
