Thieves target jewellery shop in Vadodara on Diwali

While the citizens of Vadodara are busy celebrating Diwali, the thieves are celebrating in their own way. In one incident they broke the lock of a jeweller’s shop in Sayajiganj area of ​​the city and fled with gold and silver jewelery. Sayajigunj police is further investigating in the matter after informed by the owner.

Vadodara city police started round-the-clock patrolling in all the markets to increase the security of jewellers during festivals. However in one such incident the thieves broke the locks of a jeweller’s shop in Sayajiganj and stole ornaments worth lakhs.

The thieves broke the lock of S. Kumar Jewellers showroom at Sayajigunj area of ​​the city and lifted gold and silver ornaments placed in the display. They fled with 22 tolas of gold and 22 kg of silver jewellery. The whole incident was captured on CCTV and based on that the police have started investigation into the matter.

Top police officials along with PI SG Solanki of Sayajiganj police station reached the spot on learning of the incident. Further investigation has been started with the help of FSL and Dog Squad after checking CCTV footage.
