    Next of Kin Cycle Expedition undertaken by Battle Axe Sappers under the aegis of Battle Axe Division was Flagged in by Major General Rakesh Kapoor, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Battle Axe Division at Jaisalmer Military Station on 17 February 2020.



    ​The Battle Axe Sappers successfully completed the ‘Next of Kin Outreach Cycle Expedition’ by covering various interior locations of the five Southern States of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala covering a total distance of 1401 kilometers over a period of 25 days.

    The expedition was successful in educating the Veer Naris and Next of Kin of battle and physical casualty soldiers about their entitlements and also addressed their grievances. The expedition team had a fruitful interaction with the school going children and local youth to join the “Olive Green” thus garnering goodwill for the forces.

    ​The General Officer commended the team members on successful completion of the Cycle Expedition with great zeal and enthusiasm.
