Complains to election official about violation of code of conduct
Congress spokesperson Rutvij Joshi was detained this morning before the arrival of Chief Minister in Vadodara. He gives written complaint with the Returning Officer alleging violation of the code of conduct. He demand and requested that the Vadodara Municipal Corporation elections be held in a fair and peaceful manner.
Rutvij Joshi in his complaint to the Returning Officer said, “Elections are about to be held later in the month and campaigning is also going on. Today, the Chief Minister of the state is coming as the BJP’s star campaigner. As a spokesperson we also have to go to different places for election campaign. But they have been detained by the Vadodara Police which violates the Code of Conduct. He request that police shall be removed from his house.
Demanded that the elections be held in a fair and peaceful manner. He further said that as far as the general elections are held in Vadodara, they will take immediate steps so that police cannot detain them and the code of conduct is strictly adhered. He demanded that the Vadodara Municipal Corporation elections shall be held in a fair and peaceful manner.
Rutvij Joshi said, “I pay my respects to the soldiers who were martyred in the Pulwama terrorist attack. Today he condemn the attack on Congress soldiers by the BJP in violation of the code of conduct. Today, when BJP’s star campaigner Vijay Rupani is coming to Vadodara for election campaign, how appropriate is it to detain Congress soldiers? The police have taken him into custody at his home.
