Cold storage container caught fire near Golden crossing on national highway

A driver was rescued when a container full of ice cream caught fire due to a short circuit on the Golden Crossing in Vadodara. Fire brigade reached the spot and house the fire after continuous flow of water.

Chhani TP Om Jadeja, sub-fire officer Chhani TP Fire Brigade said, a cold storage container of private transport from Ahmedabad was carrying various items, including ice cream, to Mumbai. Meanwhile suddenly smoke started coming out from the container’s driver’s cabinet on National Highway 8 at Golden Crossing Bridge. The driver immediately parked the container at the side and reached to safety.

Locals immediately reported the incident to fire brigade as they reached the spot and control the fire. Traffic was also disrupted for some time due to the incident. Luckily no casualties were reported in the incident.
