Clustering of dedicated Covid hospitals in Vadodara

Vadodara Municipal Corporation has designated hospitals for the treatment of COVID 19 patients. In order to strengthen the treatment, management and referral of patients the administration decides and formed Cluster hospitals linked with the lead health care facilities in the city. The notification also advised the hospitals to adhere to the referral network in the first instance.

To ensure better coordination between 50 Empanelled Private COVID Hospitals the administration have divided them into 7 Clusters, each under a Lead Hospital. These Cluster Hospitals will pool their resources and ensure that their Oxygen Beds, ICU Beds, Ventilators, Specialist Manpower and Medicines are used optimally.

In case one Hospital does not have vacant bed they will coordinate with other Hospitals of their cluster to provide necessary bed, or even coordinate outside their cluster. No patient shall be turned away due to lack of vacant beds in any hospital and the best possible care is extended all patients. The Lead Hospital will be the main link between their Cluster Hospitals and the administration.

The administration divided the hospitals in seven clusters covering the whole city. In cluster one the lead hospital is Sterling hospital at Race Course and have six cluster hospitals linked to it. In cluster 2 five hospitals are linked with the lead Bhailalbhai Amin General Hospital at Gorwa. At cluster 3 eight hospitals are linked with the lead Savita hospital at Waghodia road. At cluster 4 seven hospitals are linked with Bankers Hospital Manjalpur. Six hospitals are linked with Tricolor hospital at Sarabhai campus under cluster five. Sunshine hospital at Manjalpur has five cluster hospitals linked in cluster six. At Seven five hospitals are identified and linked with Rhythm hospital Sama.

Functional guidelines are also issued for hospital clusters and instructed to abide by it. They expect this innovative arrangement will improve efficiency and accountability in our fight against COVID, in the coming crucial weeks.
