Clashes during garlanding programme of Dr. Ambedkar in Vadodara
Today country is celebrating the 126th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. But in Vadodara the clashes between the BJP and the Dalits turned the celebration sour.
On Friday during the garlanding ceremony on the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar the two groups clashed and police had to intervene. If that not all a dalit youth was shifted to the hospital after he get unconscious inside the police station.
Like every year the VMSS organised the garlanding ceremony on the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on his 126th birth anniversary at Race Course circle. The programme was organised where Mayor Bharat Dangar, MP Ranjan Bhatt and others were to garland Dr. Ambedkar. A grand stage was also built for the programme.
Before the scheduled time Mitesh Parmar from Dalit Samaj reached the spot with flowers to garland Dr. Ambedkar. On the other side the BJP members also reached the spot before the arrival of the dignitaries. The Congress leaders also reached the spot to take part in the ceremony and waiting for the dignitaries to arrive at the spot. The Gotri police is also make security arrangements at the spot.
Meanwhile Mitesh Parmar tried to garland the statue of Dr. Ambedkar with slogans of Jai Bhim before the Mayor. The BJP members stopped them and said first the Mayor will garland and others afterwards. The argument turned into heated one as both of them are engaged in verbal fight.
As the BJP members stopped but Mitesh Parmar trying climbed on the stage with the garland and that lead to fight between the two groups. The BJP kicked Mitesh Parmar and down from the stage. The clothes of Mitesh was also tears during the fight. During that time Mitesh also has heated altercation with the police and the whole place was turned into fight arena.
The people passing from there also stopped there to see the political fight between the two groups in a function to garland the Bharat Ratna Dr. Ambedkar. Police detained Mitesh Parmar and take him to the police station before the matter went out from their hands. There Mitesh fell unconscious and he was taken to Gotri Hospital in a ambulance. Meanwhile the dalot youths shouted slogans of Jai Bhim at Gotri police station.
