City doctor’s marathon treatment done under corona treatment facility at SSG of hospital

Almost Corona free after more than 36 days of intensive treatment

Dr. Maheshbhai Ravjibhai Patel runs his own clinic and have found a new life after free from Coronavirus. The 69-year-old doctor was admitted in critical condition and has been undergoing intensive care treatment in the corona ward for the last 36 days. , and the doctor, who was admitted in critical condition, is now almost free of corona and seems to have found a new life.  

Dr. Maheshbhai said, he came here in very serious, critical position and after 35/36 days of treatment, he feels much better now. He thanked the doctors for their care and have recommended his acquaintances to go to Sayaji Hospital for treatment of Corona.

“The doctors and the staff here treat the elderly patient like me like their parents with the same affection and insistence,” he said, adding that the doctors, nursing staff and cleaners work day and night as a team. The doctors do a wonderful job and he don’t understand when these people who work day and night take meals.

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani, a lot of good work has been done in Gujarat for the treatment of corona. The government has kept the people carefree. Mentioning that the doctor prescribes the medicine and tries his best, he said, the patients should cooperate with the doctors rather than the treatment. The treatment instructions should be implemented as they say.

Meals, snacks are all available here on time, senior doctors including Dr. Belim talk to the patients and make their feel comfortable. A panel of doctors oversees the treatment. He think if we get such treatment at any other medical institution outside, it would cost around Rs 50,000 a day. He got all these treatment facilities here without spending any money.

Expressing the view that in cases like Dr. Maheshbhai, the chances of survival of the patient are only 10, informed by the administrative nodal officer of the covid treatment facility of Sayaji Hospital, Dr. O.B. Belim. He said the patient was treated on the highest level ventilator. In addition to performing all the necessary tests, including X-rays of the lungs, he made every possible effort to save the corona by giving him expensive drugs, including Tosi, Ramdasivir, Inoxiperin, which have met with success. Today he is almost healthy and stable and their team is delighted to have contributed to the survival of a patient.

Dr. Maheshbhai’s corona report is negative, so he is kept in a special room and continues treatment under supervision. He is currently being given a little oxygen to stabilize his breathing, which he will not need for the next three to four days, says Belim.
