Focussing on Adaptable technologies for future manufacturing

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the 3rd Edition of Manufacturing and Engineering Conclave 2019 focussing on “Adaptable technologies for future manufacturing” on Friday, 19 April 2019 at Vadodara. The objective of this conclave is to share cutting-edge technologies, their relevance and adaptability, and the future of manufacturing.

Today, technology is making an impact at every step of the manufacturing process. New tools and solutions help factories meet greater demand at a lower cost that includes Digital Manufacturing, Robotics, 3–D printing, Industrial Automation and others. Over 250 delegates from various industries will take part in the conclave with 4 Plenaries, over 15 National and International Speakers and exposition to showcase Products Solutions and Services.

The conclave will focus on Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Automation and Technologies for future Manufacturing.

“India is expected to become the fifth largest manufacturing country in the world by the end of year 2020. Technologies like 3D Printing and IoT is expected to boom, and carve in its existence more prominently in the upcoming years. Factories and industries would go fully automated,” said Piush Bansal, Convener of CII’s 3rd Edition of Manufacturing & Engineering Conclave and Unit Head – Apollo Tyres Ltd.

He further said that there would be increase in share of the manufacturing sector by 25 % and 100 Million new jobs would both be created by 2022. There was an increase in Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index from 53.1 in October 2018 to 54.0 in November 2018. 13.47% increase in Gujarat’s Gross State Domestic Product during the year 2012 – 17 with 42 ports and 18 domestic airports as supporting infrastructure.

He also added that “the manufacturing sector of India has a potential to reach US$ 1 trillion by 2025 and India is expected to rank in the top 3 economies and manufacturing destination of the world by the year 2020. As per India Manufacturing Barometer 2019, 85% increase in global turnover is expected. Technologies like 3D Printing and IoT is expected to boom, and carve in its existence more prominently in the upcoming years. Factories and industries would go fully automated.”
