Case registered against administrators of local mosque in Vadodara for covid guidelines violation

In view of the surge in cases, goverment has issued strict covid guidelines to follow in order to stop the transition. Vadodara police is also implementing the guidelines very strictly and issue instructions to everyone.

The state government has extend the night curfew and also the mini lockdown where everything is closed including the religious places. However one such incident came to light in Vadodara where people gathered at a local mosque to offer Namaz.

On Saturday police inspector of Wadi police station and the surveillance police and staff were on patrol at Panigate Road. Meanwhile, they received the information about 30 to 40 people gathered at Dosumiya Masjid to offer prayers. The team reached the mosque and found people gathered at at Dosumiya Masjid to offer Namaz.

The police registered the case against the administrators under IPC 188, The Epidemic Act and Disaster Management Act for violation of government notification of keeping all religious places closed for public. Further investigation is on in the matter.
