The Election Commission of India has made it a rule to suspend publicity activities 48 hours before the scheduled time of polling where Lok Sabha or Assembly elections are to be held.

Voting for the Karjan Assembly seat by-election will be held on November 3 from 7 am to 6 pm. The Returning Officer of the seat has informed all the candidates and political parties about prohibition of publicity in any form, including meetings and processions from 6 pm on November 1.

In addition, star campaigners, political and party activists, supporters, who are not voters of this constituency and have come from outside the constituency during the above period, have been requested by the Returning Officer of the constituency and the Provincial Officer, Karjan to leave the constituency. All political parties and candidates have been asked to take note.

147 Karjan Assembly seat by-election is scheduled to be held on November 3, 2020 Tuesday. In view of that public holiday will be declared in all the government and board / corporation offices of the areas under Karjan assembly seat of Vadodara district only, as per the provisions of the Negotiable Instrument Act (Act).
