Agents of the candidates can see votes displayed in the counting unit on Tv screen

Following the instructions of election commission, District Electoral System, has taken a initiative for the first time to maintain social distance in the seating arrangement of the agents of the candidates in the counting room under the guidance of the District Election Officer.

Informing this, K.R. Patel, Returning Officer, Karjan constituency and Province Officer said, cameras have been installed at all the 11 counting booths and in addition, large TV screens have been installed towards the places where agents are not allowed to sit.

When the result section of the counting unit is opened, the camera on the table will capture the image and display it on the TV screen. So that the candidates can easily see it and record the votes received by their candidate and social distance will also be maintained. Thus, this arrangement has been added as an additional for Covid precautions during the counting of votes. The demo of the same was also done today.
