Mahindra & Mahindra Limited celebrated its 25th anniversary on the National Stock Exchange on Monday (NSE). The stock exchange used Twitter to congratulate the automobile on reaching the milestone of 25 years on the NSE. On January 3, 1996, Mahindra & Mahindra was listed on the NSE.

"Hearty congratulations from all of us at NSE to Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. One of India's leading automobile companies on completing 25 years of being listed on the NSE," wrote NSE on Twitter.

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited is a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, an Indian corporation.

Mahindra & Mahindra began as a steel trading firm called Mahindra & Muhammed, which was started on October 2, 1945 in Ludhiana by brothers Kailash Chandra Mahindra and Jagdish Chandra Mahindra, as well as Malik Ghulam Muhammad.

Anand Mahindra, the current Chairman of the Mahindra Group, is Jagdish Chandra Mahindra's grandson. Muhammad moved to Pakistan after India got independence and the formation of Pakistan. After that, in 1948, the company was called Mahindra & Mahindra.

The company announced its intention to go public on June 15, 1955, and its shares were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1956.

At 3:00 p.m. on Monday, Mahindra & Mahindra's stock had down 0.75 percent to Rs 830.45 on the NSE.

Mahindra and Mahindra had previously announced a multifold increase in its net profit for the July-September quarter, from Rs 162 crore the previous year to Rs 1,432 crore this year.

During the quarter under review, the company's revenue increased 15% year on year (YoY) to Rs 13,305 crore, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 19% to Rs 1,660 crore.
