Liquor ordered through transporters using biscuit boxes from reputed companies
Vadodara police PCB team has busted a racket of new ways used by bootlegger to run liquor business. The accused ordered liquor from Daman in the boxes of reputed biscuit companies through transport. Police seized 298 bottles of foreign liquor and other items during the raid and arrested the bootlegger for Prohibition.
The PCB team had received information about consignment of IMFL had arrived at Gorwa GIDC Shed No. A 43. On basis of that police team raided the spot during and shocked to find a quantity of foreign liquor kept inside cartons of popular biscuit companies. The accused ordered liquor through transport.
During the raid, police seized 298 bottles of various brands of foreign liquor worth Rs 1.49 lakh and mobiles worth Rs 15,000. The team arrested Deep Dave originally from Surat and presently residing at Sunshine residency Vasna Bhayli road in prohibition.
The PCB police conducted further investigation after handing over the custody of the accused to the Gorwa police.
It is to mention that police is investigating about, here how long the bootlegger had been ordering such quantity of liquor and who was helping him as well as to whom the quantity of liquor was to be given.
