Kokrajhar
has been decorated with 70,000 earthen lamps to welcome Prime Minister Narendra
Modi.

Modi will
arrive at Kokrajhar in Assam today and address a huge rally at a function
organized to celebrate the signing of the third Bodo Accord.

Assam finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who is monitoring the entire preparations, while sharing a video on his Twitter handle, said: “What a Spectacular View! Kokrajhar is all decked up with 70,000 earthen lamps to welcome Hon PM @narendramodi to #Assam on February 7.”

Earlier on
Thursday, Modi, while informing about his Assam visit tweeted: “Tomorrow, I
look forward to being in Assam. I will be in Kokrajhar to address a public
meeting.”

The third
Bodo Accord was signed in New Delhi on January 27 with all the four factions of
the National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) and the All Bodo Student’s
Union (ABSU) in presence of union home minister Amit Shah.
