Aim to make Aanganwadi center a model one

One day training program of Aanganwadi workers and helper was organised under Aanganwadi Adoption Program – Born Learning Project. The project was started in 2012 in 25 Aanganwadi center of ICDS adopted and implemented by Baroda Citizens Council and funded by United Way of Baroda.

The main purpose of this training was to make the Aanganwadi center a Model one. Born learning project focuses on holistic development of the child between 3-5 years of age. It emphasises on Educational needs of the children along with Nutritional needs. Through this project they aim to make children “school ready in our communities”.

The training consisted of role plays, age appropriate activities, group play, different corners of Aanganwadis, few games and audio-visuals. Training for Aanganwadi worker and helper was organised in order to build their capacity and was taken by Anjali Burman (Project Coordinator, UWB) and BCC Sr. Coordinator Priya Parikh.
