Baroda defeated Railways by 99 runs in Ranji match at Vadodara

In a Ranji trophy group B match Baroda defeated Railways by
99 runs at Motibaug cricket ground. From Baroda L Meriwala took six wickets and
A Sheth takes three as Railway was all out for 110 in their second innings.



Baroda Ranji Trophy Team registered outright victory against
Railways. The team is in the news for defeating mighty Mumbai Ranji Team
Outrightly there by upsetting the cartwheel of Ranji Trophy championship.



For Baroda Deepak Hooda scores brilliantly in the first
innings to scale the Baroda score to par 200 runs and hence was declared Man of
the Match. For Baroda Lukman Meriwala took 4 & 6 wkts respectively to take
10 wickets and hastened the victory for baroda.



Batting first Baroda was all out for 201 in their first
innings. In reply Railway was all out for 99 and gives Baroda a crucial lead of
101. In their second innings Baroda score 98 giving a victory target of 299 to
the visitors.



Railway in reply managed to score 101 for the loss of 10
wickets in 25 overs and Baroda won the match by 99 runs. L Meriwala done the
maximum damage and took six wickets after giving away 25 runs.
