On National Youth Day, the Vadodara City Youth Congress reached the MP’s house and tried to cordon it, demanding employment for the youth. However, the police foiled the program and detained 15 protestors.
Today, on the National Youth Day, a program was organised by the City Youth Congress to cordon the Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt. Following this tight police cordon was set up near the house in Nizampura. A large number of protestors, led by Youth Congress president Asfaq Malek, marched on the MP’s house. However before they start police detained around 15 protestors from the spot.
Vadodara City Youth Congress President Asfaq Malek said said today is National Youth day is being celebrated across the country. But, the unemployed youth are not being heard by the government. The number is increasing day by day and government is only making empty promises to provide employment. The BJP government, which came to power by promising to provide 2 crore jobs a year, has failed miserably in fulfilling its promises. The time has come for the youth seeking employment in the BJP government get sticks instead of employment.
He further said that today, on the National Youth Day, the City Youth Congress had come to Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt seeking the demands of the unemployed youth and made representations for the unemployed youth. However, our right to representation was also taken away by the police. The activists were detained but the Youth Congress will be with the youth and continue to fight for their demands.
