Army Commander Southern Command reviews operational readiness of Konark Corps

Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command visited Konark Corps. The Army Commander reviewed the operational readiness and preparedness of the Konark Corps.

The Army Commander complimented all ranks for their dedicated efforts and high standards of training to thwart any security challenges and maintaining the sovereignty of the Nation. He exhorted all ranks to focus on operational preparedness for future wars and achieve high level of professionalism.

During the visit, the General Officer was also briefed on the role of the Konark Corps in discharging duties as part of aid to civil authorities especially during COVID-19 pandemic. He complimented all for the excellent rapport between the military and civil authorities and their good liaison to tackle COVID-19 or any emergent situation arising out of a natural calamity.
