Air Defence Brigade at Vadodara celebrated the 81st Corps Day of Corps of Army Air Defence on 15 Sep 20 with full zeal and enthusiasm following all precautionary directions and advisories issued on Covid-19 pandemic.

On this occasion, all the veterans of Corps of Army Air Defence were also congratulated and given best wishes. The Overall Championship Banner alongwith various sports and professional trophies were awarded to the units for their achievements in events in the preceding training year on 12 Sep 20 as a run up to Corps Day celebrations.

The first establishment of Corps of Army Air Defence was raised on 15 Sep 1940 as Number 1 Anti Aircraft Technical Training Battery at Colaba, Mumbai, followed by raising of Anti Aircraft Regiments and Anti Aircraft Training Centers during the period 1940-45.

The anti aircraft units played vital role in British Indian Army and were instrumental in defending Allied Forces in India and other parts of the world. The sacrifices of the Indian Anti Aircraft gunners helped British win war against Japanese with impunity
