Syed Modi International: P V Sindhu to take on Malvika Bansod in women's singles final in Lucknow today

In Badminton, two-time Olympic medalist, P.V. Sindhu stormed into the women's singles finals of the ongoing Syed Modi International tournament in Lucknow last evening. At the Babu Banarasi Indoor Stadium, the Indian shuttler defeated Russia's Evgeniya Kosetskaya in the semi-final clash that lasted for minutes.

The 26-year-old Sindhu won the first game comprehensively 21-11 and then the Russian opponent retired in the second game. As a result, Sindhu progressed to the finals of the tournament. Sindhu will face compatriot Bansod Malvika in the final today.
