Veteran IAF officer from accounts branch turns 100

An IAF veteran from Delhi, Group Captain GPS Bakshi (Retd) (Service no. 3228, Accts branch) crossed the milestone of becoming a centenarian on 16 Oct 2021.

An IAF veteran from Delhi, Group Captain GPS Bakshi (Retd) (Service no. 3228, Accts branch) crossed the milestone of becoming a centenarian on 16 Oct 2021. He was commissioned on 19 Aug 1945 and has been in service in the IAF when India was transiting and emerging as an independent nation. He retired after a glorious service to the IAF on 31 Oct 1976.

On this momentous occasion, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari PVSM AVSM VM ADC has conveyed his best wishes to the veteran.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Accounts and Air Veterans) Air Vice Mshl Ashok Saini VSM, along with other senior IAF Officers, greeted the veteran at his residence on this occasion. IAF wishes him good health and happiness for the future.
