One dead, 17 injured as portion of building collapses in Gujarat
The ground-plus-two floors were commercial and had various shops while five floors above these shops were residential
One woman died and around 17 people were injured when a commercial-cum-residential building’s gallery wall suddenly collapsed in Gujarat's Bhavnagar city on Wednesday.
According to the Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (RMC), the building, Madhav Hill, located on Waghawadi road, was built in 1996 and the Building Use (BU) permission was issued in 1997.
The ground-plus-two floors were commercial and had various shops while five floors above these shops were residential.
The deceased woman is identified as Hansben Jamod (47), who was working as a labourer.
