Around 148 Indian athletes and 38 officials are stranded at Trabzon where they went to participate in World School Games.

External Affairs minister, Sushma Swaraj has said that the games are on and the players are safe.

 

A contingent of 148 Indian students (class 10, 11, 12) and 38 officials flew to Turkey to take part in the World Schools championship in Trabzon, 1100 km from Istanbul on 11th July.

The Indian Embassy has set up emergency helplines to assist Indian nationals in Ankara (+905303142203) and Istanbul (+905305671095).
