Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan have been featured on Forbes’ list of Asia’s most influential celebrities on social media. Forbes Asia’s 100 Digital Stars list features 100 singers, bands, film and TV stars, with a strong social media presence.
Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar are among those on the top of the list with over 105 million and 131 million social media followers, respectively.
The list also features Ranveer Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Hrithik Roshan, Neha Kakkar, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and Shreya Ghoshal.
“A veteran of over 200 movies, Bachchan in May used his star power and 105 million social media followers to help raise $7 million for Covid-19 relief. Over his long career he has held elected office and been the subject of at least 11 biographies,” Forbes wrote about Bachchan.
Speaking of Akshay, Forbes stated that Bollywood’s highest-paid actor donated $4 million to India’s COVID-19 relief.
Other prominent names on the list include K-Pop band BTS, K-Pop girl band Blackpink and actor Lee Min-ho from South Korea.
