Alert loco pilot averted a possible accident

Alertness of loco pilots averted a possible accident on Kim Kosamba line on Tuesday afternoon. Lakhan Lal Meena (Vasai Headquarters), the loco pilot of the Goods train going from Vadodara to Surat saw a white colored car on the down line between Kim and Kosamba at 12.50 pm. He also saw the car driver running towards the up line.

Without any delay he turned on the flasher light and control the train. He immediately reported to Deputy Station Superintendent of Kim station and train loco control of Vadodara division. Assistant loco pilot of the train Sameer Khan and guard Rajesh also played an important role in this alertness to avert the situation.

As soon as the information was received in the control room of the Vadodara Division, the Senior Section Engineer and RPF Sub Inspector posted in Kosamba reached the site immediately. The car was taken out of line by JCB with the help of engineering staff.

The alertness of loco pilots thus averted a potential accident. Divisional Railway Manager Devendra Kumar praised the watchfulness of the train loco pilot.
