Air Marshal BR Krishna AVSM SC took over as Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) of South Western Air Command on 01 Mar 19.
Commissioned into the fighter stream of IAF in December 1983, the Air Marshal has more than 4800 hrs of flying experience on a variety of operational and training aircrafts. He has tenanted various Command and Staff appointments including Command of a Frontline Air Force Station, Commanding Officer of Air Force Test Pilots School and Commandant, ASTE. His staff appointments include Joint Director, ASR Director, Ops (Off) Weapons and ACAS (Projects).
Air Marshal BR Krishna is an alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and did M Phil in Security studies from National Defence College. He is a recipient of Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Shaurya Chakra.
