65 paddlers across the country participated in 15 days camp

The Advance TT Coaching Camp-2019 concluded in Vadodara among the presence of two eminent sports fraternities namely Dhanraj Pillai, Padmashree, Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awardee, and Arjuna Awardee Kamlesh Mehta. The camp was jointly organised by the Table tennis Association of Baroda (TTAB) and Sports Development Council (SDC), Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Vadodara at RIL Township from 3rd to 17th May, 2019.

Total 65 TT paddlers, from across the country, have attended the camp. 27 players out of 65 were participated from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and UP states. Other 38 players were participated from different districts of Gujarat.

The paddlers were imparted systematic training which covers physical, mental and skills based activities to improve overall talent and game of each individual. Practice sessions and match practice schedules framed for everyday. Multi ball training was also imparted to all paddlers.

TTAB organise the 15 days residential camp, (16th time in a row) with international standard facilities like standard lighting, synthetic flooring, new brand 14 Stag TT tables and air conditioned hall. The camp was supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG), Gandhinagar and Gujarat State Table Tennis Association (GSTTA).

Kamlesh Mehta was the mentor of the assistant coaches namely N. Ravichandran, National Coach from Chennai, Vismay Vyas, ITTF Level-3 Coach and SAG TT Head Coach, Sagar Trivedi, Paritosh Bhatt, Dipali Pandya ( ITTF Level -1TT Coach-SAG) and Dr. Pitul Parmar who had given their best to uplift the standard of each trainee.

Site President, RIL, VMD Vijay Surti present as Chief Guest at the closing ceremony and gave away the participation certificate to players. The ceremony was presided by legendary Hockey player and Padmashree, Khel Ratna and Arjuna Awardee Dhanraj Pillai. Other dignitaries remain present are Ashwinbhai Gandhi, Director Express Group, Amar Petiwale, Secretary SDC RIL, Jayesh Bhalawala, Sr. Coach, SAG, Vadodara, Vijay Sing Coordinator SGFI, Agra Ex. President of TTAB P. R. Singhvi, President-TTAB Jayaben Thakkar and Kalpesh Thakkar, Hon. Secretary TTAB.
