8th round of Door to door surveillance starts from Tuesday in Vadodara

Planned to launch advanced care for high risk patients

OSD Dr. Vinod Rao had a meeting on Monday to plan 8th round of Door to Door Surveillance starting from Tuesday tomorrow. They also planned launch of Advanced Care to High Risk Patients on Home based COVID Care from tomorrow.

Dr. Rao informed, this week they will do Targeted Door to Door Surveillance focusing on areas covering 40% of City’s population, having high Positivity Rate. As against usual 820 teams which covered 100% population, this time 569 Teams consisting of 1200 staff will complete this in 4 days. The remaining 254 teams will strengthen our Home based COVID Care.

He further said that from this week they will identify High Risk Patients from among those who are undergoing Home based COVID Care and start giving them special care. High Risk COVID Positive patients who are on Home based COVID Care will include all COVID Positive persons above 50 years, persons with comorbidities and having mild or moderate symptoms.

Further special personal care will be given to them on day to day basis through telephonic follow-up twice a day by the teams from PHCs.
