The 6 Bn Of National Disaster Response Force swung into mobilization phase for Response in Orissa cyclone. 6 Teams of 6 NDRF Vadodara unit are kept on wheel for airlift from nearby Air base with full manpower and equipments under overall supervision of unit commandant.
The powerful Cyclone Fani is creating havoc in Odisha as an extremely severe cyclonic storm this morning. Looking at the severity the administration is taking every step to help people move away to safer places. The cyclone already made the landfall near Puri accompanied by powerful winds and heavy to very heavy rainfall. Disaster response teams are already involved in rescue efforts and many of them are on standby at various locations.
The 6 NDRF is already on mobilisation phase at the helipad base and ready to move for response in Odisha cyclone. As per NDRF sources total six teams with equipments are ready to dispatch from the base to engage in rescue efforts in Odisha.
