400 teachers will be assisting the health teams in the second door to door surveillance starting from Tuesday in Vadodara. The focus will be on vulnerable population and high risk areas of the city.
Officer on Special Duty to Vadodara Dr. Vinod Rao informed, In Door to Door Surveillance starting tomorrow, they are deploying about 400 Teachers to assist the Health teams. Each of the 34 PHCs would have 10 -12 Teachers. Additionally about 40 teachers will assist in supervision and coordination of work.
He had meeting to sensitize all the supervisory teachers a day before the door to door surveillance. Teachers had already agreed to be part of a COVID Army and have today promised full support. Dr. Rao said, this Door to Door Surveillance will help in early detection and early treatment of infections thereby saving several lives of the Citizens in the coming weeks.
VMC health teams will be starting second door to door surveillance from Tuesday as part of proactive measures to identify the high risk people. The focus will be on vulnerable population and high risk areas of Vadodara city.

This time 822 Teams compromising of about 1,700 staff will complete this in 5 days starting from 21st July to 25th July. The focus will be on vulnerable population and high risk areas.
