As part of the celebration of World Environment Day 2026, Hindalco Industries Limited organized various programs to promote environmental protection and sustainable development.
Special Awareness Session Organized
A special awareness session was organized for workers, supervisors and employees under the guidance of the senior management team as part of the celebration. During this session, detailed guidance was given on “Climate Action” (measures against climate change) and the important role of each individual in protecting the environment. Employees were motivated to adopt environmentally friendly behavior in their daily lives as well as at the workplace.
Inspirational Message through “Nukkad Natak”
A colorful and inspiring “Nukkad Natak” was organized to convey the message of environmental awareness in a creative way. The play gave an effective message about the challenges facing the environment, conservation of natural resources and collective responsibility.
Participants honored and rewarded
During the celebration, employees and participants who enthusiastically participated in various environmental competitions were honored. The winners were felicitated with prizes for their awareness and commitment towards the environment.
Tree plantation program
In addition, a tree plantation program was also organized with the resolve to create a green and clean environment. The organization’s commitment towards environmental protection was further strengthened through tree plantation with the active participation of employees and workers.
Door-to-door awareness campaign (June 3, 2026)
As part of the celebration of World Environment Day, a door-to-door awareness campaign was conducted by the E-waste and Secondary Copper Recycling Unit on June 3, 2026. During this campaign, about 800 families were reached and informed about the responsible disposal and recycling of e-waste. People were made aware about the impacts of improper disposal of electronic waste on the environment and its proper management.
Upcoming E-Waste Collection Campaign (June 8, 2026)
A responsible e-waste collection and disposal campaign has been organized on June 8, 2026. This campaign will encourage people to dispose of their e-waste through authorized recycling channels, thereby conserving natural resources and protecting the environment.
