Explain a woman in Savli the responsibility of maintaining cleanliness in the villa
Normally the 181 Abhayam Women’s Helpline primarily help and reassure distressed women. This helpline rescues females, protects them in cases of domestic or other violence, and empowers them.
But recently the 181 Abhayam team has given a new dimension to their work in a village at Savli taluka. They play the role of hygiene warrior like a Corona Warrior.
Gave details Chandrakant Makwana, coordinator of Abhayam Seva at Vadodara said, some women inside one village wash clothes and utensils on the main road and spread uncleanliness in the area. This also made it difficult for pedestrians and hygiene was not maintained.
If someone asked these women they stop it for a day and then start their routine again. The height was that they quarrel with sarpanch of the village when she went there to stop them for not wash their clothes and utensils on the middle of the road.
With no options left the sarpanch called the 181 Abhayam and seek their help in maintain cleanliness in their village.
The 181 Abhayam Mahila Helpline, Padra’s team was sent to the village. They talked to the concerned women not to do this work as it would cause dirt on the public roads of the village and remind them of their responsibilities. The women also assured not to repeat the thing and maintain cleanliness in their village.
