12L apply for 2,480 posts of talati

Connect Gujarat: More than 12 lakh persons have applied for 2,480 class III posts of village talatis in Gujarat. Though, the minimum qualification is 12th pass, more than 60% of the applicants are graduates or postgraduates, which shows paucity of jobs for educated youths in Gujarat.

Out of 2,480 posts, 1,352 are for general category candidates while the rest are reserved for SC, ST, OBC and differently able candidates.
