Yogi government to withdraw around 3 crore ration cards issued during Akhilesh's govt

Yogi Adityanath’s government has taken a big step and decided to withdraw around three crore ration cards distributed in the state.

At present these ration cards have the photo of former CM Akhilesh Yadav, so now the UP government is planning to take all the ration cards back. And the new ration cards will be provided to the people of the state with the latest facilities like smart card.

Significantly, the new ration cards issued by the Akhilesh government have been allocated to about three crore families.

The new ration cards will have a barcode and will be linked with Adhar Card. It is said that the Food and Consumer Department has started the exercise to withdraw the old ration cards in the state.
