WR Vadodara division observed World Environment Day

Organised Tree plantation, Biodiesel Blended NG train, Nukkad Play, plant distribution, biotank model exhibition and awareness rallies.

Western Railway Vadodara division observed World environment day with various activities conducted throughout the day. Tree plantation, Biodiesel Blended NG train, Nukkad Play, plant distribution, biotank model exhibition and awareness rallies are some of the programmes organised in the division.

Taking a step towards green Vadodara plantation activity was done at Pratapnagar Heritage Park near PRTN station, PRTN diesel shed, CCC PRTN, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Bharuch, Ankleshwar and other stations. A Biodiesel Blended Narrow Gauge passenger train no. 52036 working on ZDM5 locomotive with blended Bio-diesel (B-5) runs between Pratapnagar Jambusar Pratapnagar to observe World Environment Day. DRM, officers and staff remain present at the run starting from Pratapnagar Railway station.

Nukkad Natak was played by Cultural group of Baroda divison at Vadodara Railway Station on this year's theme "Beat Air Pollution". ISO 14001:2015 Certification

Vadodara Railway Station is awarded with ISO 14001:2015 on 05.06.19, on the World Environment Day. Vadodara is First Station to get the certificate in the division.

Live plants were also distributed by DRM and Officers In association with NGO and Railway Passengers Association. Interactive Bio Toilet Model Exhibition was displayed at Vadodara Railway station throughout day to spread awareness about working and advantages of Bio-Toilets in trains.

Awareness Rallies were also organised at various stations to spread the awareness in people
