World’s largest power cut happened in India today

There was a massive power cut recorded in India on 31 July, 2012, which is recognized as the world’s largest power cut by the Guinness World Records.

The power cut was experienced in 20 states of India because of three power grids were failed. There were total five power grids in country at that time.

It affected more than 600 million people of India around half of India’s population.
