Dozens of people have been killed in killed in rocket strikes by Russian forces on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv.
Ukrainian interior ministry said hundreds of people have been injured in the rocket strikes.
The reports of strikes comes even as Ukraine and Russia have began talks at the Belarussian border. According to Ukrainian president's office, the talk started with the aim of an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
Russian businessman Roman Abramovich, who owns English football Premier League club Chelsea, accepted a request from Ukraine to help negotiate an end to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Reuters reported.
