Daniel, Emma, and Rupert build Dumbledore's Army when Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts
A new poster for the Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts reunion special has been unveiled by HBO Max
In a new poster for Harry Potter Return to Hogwarts, actors Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint rejoin with seven other original cast members. HBO Max shared a new shot from their upcoming Harry Potter 20th anniversary reunion special on Instagram. It will premiere on January 1st.
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) are pictured in the middle of the poster. They're surrounded by James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Weasley), Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), who were all members of Dumbledore's Army in the Harry Potter films.
The poster also includes Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter's arch-rival. The reunion commemorates the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut.
In the shot, the cast members are smiling while visual effects construct Hogwarts' Great Hall in the background. For Christmas, it is decked out with trees. Along with their school trunks, the poster includes the floating candles seen in the movies just below the ceiling.
Sharing the post, HBO Max captioned it, "A moment 20 years in the making. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts is streaming on HBO Max New Year's Day."
HBO Max released the first photograph from the show earlier this month. Rupert, Emma, and Daniel were photographed smiling in what seemed to be the Gryffindor Common Room in an Instagram snap. "Like they never left. Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts premieres New Year's Day on HBO Max," the caption read.
The special will feature director Chris Columbus, as well as Robbie Coltrane, Helena Bonham Carter, Gary Oldman, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, and Mark Williams, among other stars. Casey Patterson of Casey Patterson Entertainment and Pulse Films are executive producers on the reunion.
The teaser began with a shot of the Hogwarts clock tower, which was recently revealed. Following it came an image of the Daily Prophet, with the heading 'Hogwarts Welcomes Back Alumni.' Emma appeared in the promo's closing shot as she walked down Platform 9 334, where the Hogwarts Express was waiting. Emma's face, on the other hand, was not disclosed.
