World Bank CEO visits Dharavi in Mumbai

Kristalina Georgieva the CEO of the World Bank visits Asia’s largest slum Dharavi in Mumbai where she will see the bank operations.

During her first official visit in India she will also meet the finance minister Arun Jaitley, RBI Governor Urjit patel , Maharashtra CM Devendra fadanvis and other key officials.

According to our sources she said that “India is our biggest middle income client and its economic growth influence the global growth” , so I m here to learn more about India and its development & to find new ways to collaborate. And also see how the operations of the world bank supported suburban rail system in Mumbai.

Along with this she will also visit a school serving low income household and children with special needs which is a part of “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan” programme supported by bank to see how the Mumbai administration are striving to ensure that basic services are delivered to all residents of the city.
