Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana will be launched in the city and district to distribute loans to women self help groups

Vadodara city and district decides to celebrate 70th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as women empowerment festival. On Tuesday a meeting of the District Celebration Committee was held under the leadership of Collector Shalini Agarwal where she gave guidance on effective work planning to accelerate livelihood and earning activities by women on this day.

It is to be mentioned that on this day, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will launch the e-Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana at Gandhinagar which aims to provide financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh each to 1 lakh women self help groups for livelihood enhancing activities and to empower 10 lakh women associated with these groups. The scheme has various beneficial and incentive provisions, including the interest to be borne by the State Government.

The District Collector gave detailed information in the meeting about the programs organise at three places in the city district on this day and the women community was informed about the scheme. In these programs, the administration is planning to broadcast the e-launch event of the scheme live by the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has opened a new door for Gujarat’s women power to become self-reliant. For the first time in the state, by launching Mukhyamantri Mahila Kalyan Yojana, more than 10 lakh women will be given loans at zero percent interest, said Collector Shalini Agarwal.

Stating that Gujarat’s women power will be at the forefront in realising the dream of self-reliant India, the Collector said that on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani will launch a state-wide Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana through e-launch from Gandhinagar on September 17.

As a result, in the changed economic and social lifestyle after Corona, a new path of self-reliance of women power will be opened. For the effective implementation of Mukhyamantri Mahila Utkarsh Yojana in Vadodara district, a committee of sixteen members has been constituted under the chairmanship of the District Collector.
