A woman drowned in the Narmada Canal passing near Vishrampura village in Padra taluka. Fire brigade rushed to the spot and recovered the body and handed it over to police for further investigation.

As per available details Kanta Rajendra Parmar, a resident of Vishrampura village in Padra taluka, had gone to wash clothes in a canal passing near her village. Meanwhile, her feet slipped and she disappeared in the flowing water of the canal.

The villagers search for missing Kataben but she was not found anywhere. They then informed the fire brigade who immediately arrived and began search with rubber boat and other equipments. The fire jawans recovered the body within hours and handed over to the police.

The incident create panic in the area in the village. Police, on the other hand, have registered a case of accidental death and further investigate.
