Heavy rains in Vadodara caused many dilapidated houses and trees to fell down in various parts of the city. In one such ill fated incident a woman died after she was crushed under a big tree.
The tree fell on Ramdev nagar near Manjalpur railway crossing early morning on Friday. The woman crushed to death after the tree fell on her as fire brigade teams from GIDC and Dandiya bazaar reached the spot for rescue work.
Local councillor Chirag Zaveri also reached the spot to take stock of the situation.
