Primary investigation revealed property dispute might be the reason

Unknown accused fired on the family in the sensitive Yakutpura area and fled from the spot.

A woman was critically injured in a broad daylight firing incident in Vadodara. Unknown accused fired on the family in the sensitive Yakutpura area and fled from the spot. The injured woman was shifted to the SSG hospital for treatment as police began investigation in the matter.

As per details Mohammad Naeem Abdul Rahman Sheikh lives with his family in the Ashiyana Building behind soda factory in Yakutpura area of ​​Vadodara city. There was property dispute between the families.

At around 1 pm in the afternoon two unidentified persons came to the house and called Amina Sheikh (Wife of Naeem) to give a invitation card. Before she understands anything they fired one round on her and fled from the spot.

The bullet hit the chest of Amina Sheikh and she was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Presently she is under treatment. Top police officials including police commissioner R.B. Brahmbhatt reached the spot after the firing incident. Police based on the statements of family members and CCTV footage began investigation in the matter.

“The incident happened in Chipwaad area where two unknown youths fired on Amina Sheikh after called her over a pretext to give invitation card. They fired one round which hit the chest of Amina and fled from the spot.

Primary investigation revealed that a property dispute might be the reason but we are investigating further to know the exact reason for the incident,” said Lakdhirsinh Zala DCP Zone 4 Vadodara.
